Fully Alive
I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.
- John 10:10
The Lord wants to pour out his love and life into you, your family, and this parish. This year of THE BIG PICTURE is meant to help equip you in coming to know Him, especially through the gift of the sacraments in the holy Catholic Church.

Hello Parents & Teachers! These short videos are made to give you some help in preparing to lead your students or children through the weekly work using lectio divina. Two prefaces before you start watching:
These videos don’t encompass everything covered in the adult materials for The Big Picture; they are just one way we wanted to offer help as you reflect on the materials and prepare to pray alongside the kiddos!
They aren’t meant to replace your own prayer with the Scriptures and study of the material. God wants to inspire you and lead you in your work of handing on the faith; doing your best to personally pray through the Weekly Work is the best way to cooperate with him!
As always, let us know if there are other ways we can help you! Just shoot as an email if you have ideas to share or thoughts on these videos.
Please note that for the month of March, we recommend an alternative order of the weeks, so the appropriate Scripture lands during Holy Week!

Reach out to the Formation Staff or your school principal to onboard to Hallow! This is an incredible resource to help you and your family develop a daily prayer routine.
If you’re looking for a Bible for yourself or a teen in your life, make sure to purchase a Catholic translation.
Choose from either the New American Bible (NAB or NABRE) or the Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition (RSV-2CE). The New American Bible contains the translation of Sacred Scripture we hear at Mass, but the Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition is also excellent for personal study and prayer.
The following are editions of those Bibles that we would highly recommend.
In addition to praying with the Scriptures through The Big Picture books, we would encourage all parishioners to be getting to know the story of Salvation History better throughout their lives.
For adults and high school teens, we would recommend:
For children, our very favorite resource is The Story of All Stories, appropriate for both grade schoolers and middle schoolers.
For children, we would also recommend the many great children’s resources from Ascension press. You could use the following with your children as part of your nightly prayer routine:
My Catholic Picture Bible Stories (Ages 4 - 7)
Catholic Bible Chronicles (Ages 8 - 12)
These are the lessons for parents to use to cover Safe Environment material with their children. Thank you for your investment in the instruction on this important topic!
